Everything Looks Good From Here, is an album about devotion, honesty and above all: hope. The album title can be read as an ensuring, soothing message from one world to another. Song For Sasha, was written for Lars his son, when he was still inside his mother’s womb. While the world was on fire, during the Corona crisis, with this song Lars wanted to let him know Everything will be ok, for there’s enough love that awaits him and you can always turn to the beautiful world of music. Of course this message is ambigue, with ‘things’ not really looking ok at all at the moment, so it’s not coincidental Lars is portrayed hiding with his head under a stone on the album cover.
Four songs were mixed by Ali Chant (Aldous Harding, Soccer Mommy) in Bristol, including the album focus track: Invincible. All the other tracks are mixed by Lars himself. All video’s were shot by Lars his wife, photographer Sanja Marusic.
‘Everything Looks Good From Here’ will be presented with a live show in the Paradiso, Amsterdam on September 29. And will be out on all streaming platforms from October 2nd 2020.
Live Lars and the Magic Mountain is a hybrid happening. The full line-up consists of at least 12 people, but with many set-ups possible there are many different experiences possible.

“Lars And The Magic Mountain klinkt soms als The Beatles op hun meest experimentele momenten. Da’s geen klein compliment.”
